When you click Add Recording in Web Test of Visual Studio 2012 then IE launches but IE does not do any recording.
Go to Internet Options -> Programs -> Manage add-ons and make sure
1. Web Test Recorder 10.0
2. Microsoft Web Test Recorder 10.0 Helper
3. Office Document Center Handler
Are all Enable.
Then you will see the IE able to record the test.
