Install App for SharePoint template for Visual Studio 2015

This short article shows you how to install App for SharePoint template for Visual Studio 2015.

App for SharePoint is not install by default when you install Visual Studio 2015. Luckily it is not hard to install it.

When you click File -> New -> Project… and choose Office / SharePoint template in Visual Studio 2015 then you will not see a list of template if you have not installed in before.

Click OK to start the App for SharePoint template.

You will see the Install Missing Feature, click Install.

Here you go, you click the Install Office Developer Tools Projects in VS 2015 it will not close for you but gives you Warnings instead. This part Visual Studio team should fixed it.

Click Next to continue.

Click Upgrade.

Aha! This is what I want to show you. Do not lose your install ISO else you need to download the installation files from Internet again. Unless you are in USA and having a fast line. If you are in Malaysia with TM Streamyx provided expensively provided by our Government Linked Company like I do then good luck to us.

I remounted the installation iso and click Retry.

Thank god, I am able to complete the installation (every time I need to pray when installing Visual Studio).

Now you have the App for SharePoint template.
