Register-SPWorkFlowService error The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found

This short article shows you how to resolve the Register-SPWorkFlowService error: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found if you are using Workflow Manager 1.0 for SharePoint 2013 on-Premise.

To resolve this issue is to install Workflow Manager 1.0 Cumulative Update 2. Somehow it is neither easy to find nor install.

I did not get to search Workflow Manager CU2 using google. What did the following:

1. Get to Web Platform Installer website (this you can get from google easily).

2. Click the Free Download  then click Run. Don’t save it, I will realize it will not run the second time even if you save it. Have a try if you don’t believe in me.

3. Type workflow manager in the search box one the Web Platform Installer started.

4. Now you can see the Workflow Manager CU 2 to get to 1.0 Refresh. Click Add, click Install.

There might be some dependencies component you need to install.
