This post shows you how to compare 2 files using Visual Studio. Make sure you have Visual Studio 2013 or above installed.
Scenario:
I have the same SQL Agent Job but running but in 2 different servers. I wanted to compare how identical are these 2 jobs. I saved the 2 jobs into 2 files. 1 called OSHistory105.sql and another OSHistory74.sql.
Start Developer Command Prompt for VS 2017.
Type devenv.exe /diff OSHistory105.sql OSHistory74.sql
You can see the different pretty clear like the picture below.
