Oracle Database 11g successfully installed in Virtual PC 2007 running Windows XP

Oracle Database 11g for Windows is available recently. After the successful installation of Oracle Database 11g in Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 two months ago, last night I have done the installation for Oracle Database 11g in Virtual PC 2007 running Windows XP. Virtual PC 2007 is running on Dell Latitude D620 with 2GB RAM.

The first task I did after the installation was I enabled user, SCOTT, using Oracle Enterprise Manager. After that I straight away fired up Visual Studio 2005 with ODP.NET 10.2 installed without installing any new component. The connection can be established through Server Explorer to 11g Database in Visual Studio. This is a great feeling started with Oracle Database 11g.
